2023 was a wonderful reading year. Not only that, but it was a great year of adding to my TBR.
I wanted to provide stats of what I read, what my goals were and then, of course, my favorites from 2023. You will also see my favorites listed on my Hard Truths newsletter out on 1/1/24.
In 2023, I read over 60 books. I got rid of GoodReads so I don’t have a total count, but the last number on there was 64.
Notable reading moments from 2023:
- I read my first ARC from NetGalley: Rules for Second Chances by Maggie North.
My favorite reads of 2023:
- You, With a View by Jessica Joyce
- This One Summer, (Graphic Novel), Mariko Tamaki
- Seven Year Slip, Ashley Potson
- Vampires of El Norte, Isabel Cañas
- Divine Rivals, Rebecca Ross
- What The River Knows, Isabel Ibañez
- Wish You Weren’t Here, Erin Baldwin (pre order, coming 2024)
As far as what my plans are for 2024, I really am planning to adjust what I’ll read in the year. Between my job as an agent and writing, plus limited childcare, there is no way I can keep sustaining this level of reading. I can hope and do my best. As far as a goal, I specifically am planning to tackle my TBR. I have a TON of books I added in 2023 and I hope to read many of them in 2024.
What are you reading goals for 2024?
