Another month of little read, but I’m doing my best to pick up and complete books, rather than starting and forgetting about them. Time is precious so I want to read what keeps me engaged, but the past few months that has left me with a lot of books partially finished ( and time sent reading them and not finishing them does feel like time wasted).
Anyways, I read some stellar books this month starting with Sinner’s Isle by Angela Montoya. I really loved escaping in the world Angela created, and the unique power dynamics at play. And of course, I loved the pirate aspect. It was a great fantasical read and I cannot wait for her second book, A Cruel Thirst, to come out in December.
I’ve been craving a good historical romance after the first Bridgerton episodes, so I jumped into Ne’er Met A Duke Like You, by Amalie Howard. This was delightful and I absolutely loved the banter. I’m fairly certain But Daddy I Love Him by Taylor Swift was written for Vesper.
Lastly, I read Love and Other Conspiracies by Mallory Marlowe which comes out in August. What a fun hook and charming romance. I really enjoyed bringing in the supernatural in a sexy way.
Hope you all had a great reading month. What’s on your TBR for June?
