Did October feel like the LONGEST month to anyone else? Just me? Maybe that is a good thing because I was able to get quite a bit of reading done (thank you audio books!)
This month I tried to focus on reading potential comp titles for my WIP I’m hoping to query in the coming weeks/months.
I started the month by listening to LAST CALL AT THE LOCAL by Sarah Grunder Ruiz. This book was a delightful read and really made me feel seen with the MMC’s intrusive thoughts (that also has OCD rep). It was fun to have it set in a pub in Ireland too!
The next book I read was THE KISS CURSE, by Erin Langston. I had read the first in this series so it was fun to get back in this world and catch up with the characters. The third one came out this fall!
This may count as a September and October read because it did take me a bit to get through– mostly because this was a physical read and I have so little time to read a physical book. But I read A WITCH’S GUIDE TO FAKE DATING A DEMON, by Sarah Hawley. This was a cozy world, and I love the concept of a demon being the LI.
Last I listened to WITCHA GONNA DO?, by Avery Flynn. Ya’ll– this book is SO HORNY! So so horny! I love the world created, and it felt a natural jump coming from A WITCH’S GUIDE. I also really enjoy the cover.
I did also have the chance to beta read for Kelly Beck who has an amazing second chance romance hopefully coming to you in…2-4 business years. Publishing, right? The writing on a line level was so beautiful, I still think about it often.
What was your favorite read of October
