February was a weaker personal reading month for me. That doesn’t mean I wasn’t reading though! February was a month of reading fulls, working on my own manuscript and trying to fit in pleasure reading.
If you saw my Hard Truths Newsletter, you also saw that I’m pretty maxed out with trying to do All The Things, so this month my attention towards reading was very hard– especially with pleasure reading when I felt like there were other things I should be doing.
February 2025 Reads
Of course the one book I read immediately and made sure I had time for was…DEEP END (aka WHET) by Ali Hazelwood. It’s important to note I am a huge Ali Hazelwood fan, there is little I don’t enjoy that she writes. So I was absolutely enthralled in this book. I think she approaches things in a new and realistic way, while also keeping it sexy and in this book, very deep with great character arcs.
Next I had an arc of Up Close & Personal by Ana Holguin. There is a lot to say about this book and how wonderful it is. I love the fresh take on what a celebrity is (within the fitness world) and the anxiety rep. But I really urge readers to read this and understand what it is to continue to up the stakes, Ana does it SO WELL in this book. When the stakes continue to get higher, the reader will want to read MORE to find out what happens.
I listened to one book this month, I was so delighted to get it from Libby after enjoying her debut ( Witch of Wild Things). Raquel Vasquez Gilliland is masterful is balancing great rep of Bipolar disease, the family dynamics between sisters and hot angsty second chance romance. Lightning in Her Hands was amazing. 10/10 reccomend!
